We’ve just shipped Rank Bix SEO 1.1.11, and this release is all about stability, reliability, and fixing edge cases that matter in real-world usage.

While everything may look small on the surface, these updates make the plugin significantly more robust across different hosting setups, caching environments, and WordPress configurations.

LLMs.txt – Now Generates Reliably

We fixed an issue where LLMs.txt failed to generate or regenerate on some sites where legacy database settings still existed.

Previously, an old option (rankbix_seo_llmstxt_enabled) could override the module state.

Now:

  • The system fully respects the module toggle state
  • Legacy options are ignored safely
  • File generation works consistently across all setups

No manual re-save or workaround needed anymore.

Sitemap Cache – Now Fully Intelligent

We improved sitemap caching behavior to ensure search engines always get the latest data.

Now the cache automatically clears when:

  • A taxonomy term (category/tag) is edited
  • A post is moved from published → draft/private

This ensures your sitemap always stays accurate and up to date.

robots.txt – Clear Status Feedback

We’ve improved clarity when working with robots.txt:

Now you’ll see:

  • “robots.txt created.” when first generated
  • “robots.txt updated.” when modified later

Simple but helpful for understanding what happened instantly.

IndexNow – Now Covers More Actions

IndexNow support has been expanded beyond publish/update.

Now it also triggers when:

  • A post is trashed
  • A post is deleted permanently
  • A post is moved to draft or private

This ensures search engines are always informed about content removal or visibility changes.

Duplicate Page – Better User Experience

After duplicating a post, you’ll now see a success notice with a direct link:

“Edit the new draft”

This removes friction and lets you continue editing instantly.

We fixed an edge case where breadcrumb items could appear blank.

Now:

  • Missing titles show as “Untitled”
  • Breadcrumb trails remain clean and readable

LLMs.txt Settings – Preview Added

You can now preview the auto-generated default LLMs.txt content directly inside settings.

This helps you understand what the plugin would output before customizing it.

404 Monitor – Export AddedA new Export CSV feature is now available in 404 Monitor.

You can download:

  • URL
  • Referrer
  • Hit count
  • First seen
  • Last seen

Perfect for audits, reporting, or bulk redirection planning.

Bug Fix – LLMs.txt Encoding Issue

Fixed an issue where HTML entities like > were incorrectly written into the physical file.

Now:

  • Markdown is correctly preserved
  • Output is clean and properly decoded

Final Testing Note

This release has been tested across:

  • Different WordPress setups
  • Cached and non-cached environments
  • Legacy database configurations
  • Multisite and single-site installs

Everything is now stable and production-ready.

Upgrade Recommendation

We strongly recommend updating to Rank Bix SEO 1.1.11 to ensure:

  • Proper LLMs.txt generation
  • Accurate sitemap caching
  • Reliable IndexNow behavior
  • Cleaner admin experience
